The original saws of the 1800’s left very distinct saw marks. The saws were not calibrated well, so the blades left a beautiful scar known as “rough sawn” , “sawn marked” or “circle sawn” beams.

Our live edge mantels are the most unique piece of timber you have ever seen. Live edge on the face with hand hewed chop marks on the top and bottom. The back is milled smooth.

Using butcher block style reclaimed semi flooring we can custom make a faux mantel beam. It is smooth with a butcher block style and can be stained to almost any color.
